Lynch Nabs BC Outstanding Hitter Award
Saturday, September 10th , 2078
At the age of 22, Brian Lynch of the Anchorage Glacier Pilots could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2078 was good enough to win the catcher the Beta Conference Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .266 batting average this year, as well as a .376 on-base percentage. He played 106 games and racked up 84 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 34 home runs, 74 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Pavel Miranda of the Saint Paul Saints finished second in voting, while Antonio Consuegra of the Cincinnati Birds finished third.
