3-HR Day for Salazar

Marcos Salazar added his name in the record books after an explosive home run spree against the Anchorage Longbows. But despite joining the select list of sluggers to hit three home runs in a game, it didn't guarantee a victory. The Pawtucket Patriots fell to the Longbows, 6-5.
In his big day at Anchorage Grounds, the Pawtucket first baseman went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and scored 3 times.
"It was just one of those days," a visibly upset Salazar told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. You would think three homers would win most games. I can't play every position in the lineup. If I could, we might have had a chance."
A look at his season totals shows Salazar with 10 home runs, .223 BA, .308 OBP, 22 RBIs and 26 runs scored.

Cyclones George Fischl Down and Out for Year
Saturday, July 16th , 2078
Clyde Hill fans held their breath as George Fischl left yesterday's Naturals-Cyclones contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 22-year-old starting pitcher had suffered radial nerve compression while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 4-5 months.
To date this season, Fischl has a record of 3 wins and 8 losses and a 6.23 ERA. He has appeared in 20 games and struck out 63 in 104 innings.

Tony Masso Injured, Out for Year

Tony Masso has to call it a season. The Rockford Bulldogs starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Oceanside Barnstormers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Masso was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn rotator cuff and stated that he would not be able to play for 5 months.
In 4 starts this season, Masso has crafted a 5-1 record with a 2.51 ERA.
