Jason Mance Drills 3 HR in One Game
Monday, July 11th , 2078
Jason Mance went yard three times in a Anchorage Glacier Pilots victory over the Cincinnati Birds at Birds Ballpark.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the Anchorage shortstop went 3-for-5 against Cincinnati with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Glacier Pilots to the 10-6 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Jason Mance hit a solo-shot off Danny Soto in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Danny Bean in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off James Wengert in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
Thus far this year, Mance is batting .290 with 9 home runs, 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
