Beachcombers Out of Time, Out of Playoffs

It's no surprise that the Glendale Beachcombers have been bad this season. But those who might not have been paying close attention to the math might not have realized - the team is now officially eliminated from postseason contention.
This is the club's 36th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2049. In total, the Beachcombers have missed the playoffs 81 times in their 96-year history. Glendale has won the League Championship 2 times in their history.

Jesus Dominguez Hurt, Out for Year
Friday, July 13th , 2085
Doctors in Baton Rouge said Jesus Dominguez might not play anymore this year. The Grapplers starting pitcher suffered radial nerve compression during a game against the Geneva Greens and will be out for at least 5 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.
For the season, Dominguez has logged no wins and no losses and struck out 9 batters in 16 innings while compiling a 1.12 ERA.

Fairbanks Mathematically Eliminated from Playoffs

It's back to the drawing board for the Fairbanks Goldpanners. The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today.
Fairbanks last appeared in the postseason in 2061. This is their 24th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 87 times in their 96-year history. Fairbanks last won the League Championship in 2051.
