Super Swinger -- Daniels Slams 5 Hits Sunday, May 21st , 2084 5 times is the charm -- at least for Cody Daniels. The Saint Petersburg Red Wings left fielder tore up the Guadalajara Charros to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Charros Ballpark. The offensive onslaught from Daniels powered the 22-6 Red Wings win. "Daniels was a tough out," Guadalajara manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Cody Daniels doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Neal Libutti in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
