Woodford Gets 5 Hits
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Kurt Woodford. Woodford went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Guadalajara pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Charros Ballpark, he had a 5-for-7 line and a day he will long remember. And the Saint Petersburg Red Wings had a win, 22-6, over the Charros.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Kurt Woodford hit a three-run home run off Roland Cooper in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Chris Booty in the 5th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

This year, Woodford has hit at a .400 pace and produced 17 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 13 runs.
