Escalante Gets 5 Hits

Onel Escalante found his groove in today's game versus the Baton Rouge Kings and wrote his name in the league record book. His 5-for-5 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Chula Vista Ghouls, as the club lost the game, 10-7.
The 23-year-old center fielder told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked."
"I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Escalante said.
Onel Escalante doubled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
This year, Escalante has socked 14 hits in 43 at-bats for a .326 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .388 pace and his totals also include 11 RBIs and 9 runs scored.

Saint Petersburg's Needham Will Miss Season

The Saint Petersburg Red Wings announced this afternoon that starting pitcher Devon Needham would be out of action for 4-5 months. He sustained a sore shoulder playing the Sumos. It happened throwing a pitch.

Injury Sidelines Kyung-chor Cho For Year
Wednesday, April 25th , 2085
The Lincoln Traders will be without the services of Kyung-chor Cho for 5 months after an incident in a game against the San Antonio Texicans. The 22-year-old left fielder was injured while throwing a pitch and suffered radial nerve compression.
At the moment, Cho is hitting .321 with no home runs and 1 RBIs. He has played in 15 games and scored 9 times.
