Hamilton Won't Make Playoffs

Whether or not the Hamilton Argonauts would have been dangerous in the playoffs is now irrelevant. The team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today.
The Argonauts have missed the playoffs 71 times in their 73 years as a RSL Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 38th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2046.

Postseason Bid Ends for Calgary

The playoff hopes of the Calgary Cannons have been extinguished for the year. Today, the team was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the 2084 postseason.
"It's weird, yesterday we were all talking about what we needed to do to make it to the League Championship and now we're just counting down the days until the offseason, said Cannons starting pitcher Hector Izazaja.
The Cannons have missed the playoffs 83 times in their 95 years as a RSL Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 11th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2073. Calgary has won the League Championship 2 times in their history.

Augustine Bangs Out 5 Base Hits

Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Trevor Augustine of the Hicksville Sumos had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 11-9 win over the Fremont Roadsters at Ballpark of Fremont.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Trevor Augustine singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, flied out in the 10th and walked in the 13th.
So far on the season, Augustine is hitting .314 with 7 home runs, 38 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 81 hits and played in 66 games.
