Salton City Shuts Out Birds, Booty Winner Monday, August 3rd , 2076 Chris Booty kept the Cincinnati Birds hitters from doing any damage at Naturals Stadium today. Cincinnati could only muster 6 hits and take 2 walks against the right-handed Booty, who controlled them throughout the game as Salton City took the contest, 7-0. Booty added 10 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Booty told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." Thus far this season, Booty has worked 120 innings with 136 strikeouts en route to a 7-5 record and a 2.85 ERA. View Boxscore |
