Great Day for Fronteira -- 5 Hits
Thursday, July 21st , 2078
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Lamoine's 9-1 win over Cincinnati, first baseman Per Fronteira was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Birds Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Fronteira said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Per Fronteira singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mario Gonzalez in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
This year, Fronteira is batting .268 with 8 home runs and 41 RBIs.
