Big Day for Jarmon: Swats 5 Hits Tuesday, April 30th , 2080 Andy Jarmon exploded for a barrage of base hits at Ballpark of Raleigh. The Anchorage second baseman had a field day in his team's 19-3 triumph over the Sault Ste. Marie Dukes, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Jarmon must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Andy Jarmon hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jorge Cabrera in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Ayalen Rodriguez in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
