Bad News for Cincinnati, Valenciand Injured Friday, July 21st , 2079 The Cincinnati Birds will be without the services of Danny Valenciand for 7 months after an incident in a game against the Edmonton Trappers. The 21-year-old closer was injured while throwing a pitch and suffered a torn labrum. This year, Valenciand has made 25 relief appearances, pitched 21.1 innings, and fashioned a 2-1 record with a 2.95 ERA. He has recorded 13 saves, struck out 11, and allowed opposing clubs to hit .231 when he is on the hill. |
