5-for-6 Game for Najar Thursday, June 29th , 2079 Cesar Najar of the Cincinnati Birds went on a hitting spree against the Reno Mountaineers pitching staff, racking up 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but to no avail -- the Mountaineers put a damper on his day and prevailed, 12-11, over the Birds. "It was a heck of a day and I was kind of looking forward to a better ending than that," he said later. Cesar Najar singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ben Ford in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ben Ford in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
