Thaxton Belts Number 300
Thursday, September 3rd , 2076
It was a historic day for Seattle's fine first baseman Tim Thaxton. He slammed home run number 300 in the Arrows 7-4 loss to the Portland Dragons at Portland Park.
He told reporters after the game that he was disappointed in losing the game. "It's great to get that many homers, but I don't play for homers -- I play to win. That's the name of the game."
In his milestone-making game Thaxton went 2 for 5, scored 1 run and collected 1 RBI. That home run put him in a select group of ballplayers.
In his career Thaxton is hitting .258 with a total of 300 home runs.
