Pepper Shuts Out Vancouver, 9-0

In a remarkable performance, Chicago Phantoms starter Tommy Pepper beat the Vancouver Wolves, 9-0, in an impressive 3-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Phantoms hurler finished with 8 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Vancouver manager Matt Libid said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
For the season, Pepper has compiled a 13-2 record with a 2.59 ERA.
