Monjes Has Nagging Injury, Listed DTD Tuesday, August 18th , 2076 Tucson's star shortstop Willie Monjes injured himself in a game against the Cincinnati Twins, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a strained quad and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Monjes with a smile as he talked to reporters. This year Monjes is batting .269 with 3 home runs and 28 RBIs. In 108 games he has scored 74 times. |
