Linares Belts 5 Hits Thursday, September 14th , 2079 Alexander Linares exploded for a barrage of base hits at The ESPN Zone. The St. Louis center fielder had a field day in his team's 9-3 triumph over the Washington Senators, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Linares must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Alexander Linares doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
