Klinker Tosses No-Hitter Against Destroyers Thursday, July 30th , 2076 Los Angeles is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Cookie Klinker. The 28-year-old hurler was dominating against the San Diego Destroyers, leading the Stars to a 8-0 win at Stars Ballpark today. "I could tell early on that it was going to be a long day for us," San Diego manager Steve Alstadt said afterward. "He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game." Klinker had 10 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks en route to the no-hitter. "Yeah, this was a special day for me," Klinker said. "I had my good stuff and good movement. Good location, too. Even when I made a mistake, I got away with it today." This season-to-date Klinker has 12 wins and 2 losses and a 3.10 ERA.
