Hits Galore: Echartea Drills 5 Hits Wednesday, July 24th , 2080 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Willie Echartea is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the San Antonio Angels at Tesoro Stadium. The monster effort from the 22-year-old catcher helped the Maine Lobster get the win, 11-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Angels manager Brandon Coroian. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Willie Echartea singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
