Washington Hold Off Wolves, King Picks Up 300th Save

In an effort that will possibly punch his ticket to the Rising Star League Hall of Fame, Keung King notched his 300th career save today at The ESPN Zone, leading the Washington Senators to a 5-4 triumph over the Vancouver Wolves.
Known for his calm demeanor in the heat of competition, the 30-year-old King was similarly collected after the game.
"To me it's just a number. I wasn't really nervous or thinking too much about it. I'm just trying to make my pitches and get hitters out," he said. The star reliever allowed 1 hit and 2 runs, while working 1 innings in recording his milestone save.
So far in his career, King has appeared in 568 games and saved 300 games. His lifetime record is 41-36 with 587 strikeouts and 132 walks in 592.1 innings and his ERA stands at 2.23.
