5-Hit Blitz by Cincinnati's Lawson Thursday, May 23rd , 2080 It seemed that Cincinnati left fielder Matt Lawson could do no wrong as the Twins KO'd the Thunderbirds, 7-3. Lawson rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Thunderbirds hurlers were throwing. "I think the Twins were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Phoenix fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Lawson in the postgame press interview. Matt Lawson singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jimmy Hsia in the 9th.
