New York Rallies for 6-3 Victory
|
The New York Titans picked up a win at Ballpark of Missouri, knocking off the Kansas City Athletics, 6-3. Starting pitcher Sergio Saldivar played a key role in the triumph. Ray Broekhuizen sewed up the save, his 1st. New York occupies last place in the Eastern Conference Zounes Kamuzu Division at 21-26.
New York used the timely hitting of Jeremy Ruzicka to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Titans on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Ah, the sweet taste of victory," Ruzicka crowed after the game.
