Gonzales 5-for-5 Against Kodiaks Tuesday, April 26th , 2078 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Jose Gonzales, it came around today. The 24-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Seaward Stadium to pace the 10-3 San Diego Destroyers victory over the Alaska Kodiaks. Alaska skipper Alex King told reporters in the press room that "Gonzales deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Gonzales hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Jose Gonzales hit a two-run home run off Eliecer Cervantes in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ruben Guzman in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
