Garcia Batters Santiago Big Time
Wednesday, June 14th , 2079
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Ray Garcia of the Montreal Harfangs had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 15-2 win over the Santiago Avispas at Estadio Guillermón Moncada.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Ray Garcia struck out in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Allan Tinter in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Sean Saavedra in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Garcia's current batting average stands at .301 and he has chalked up 12 home runs and 37 RBIs.
