Browns Sneak Past Cyclones, 5-4
|
Fans watched the Brooklyn Browns and the Miami Cyclones fight to the finish.
In the 5-4 Brooklyn win over Miami, the impact of Antonio Burquez was substantial. Burquez went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. Kevin Bozek was credited with the save for Brooklyn, his 2nd of the season.
Brooklyn used a timely hit from Billy Buelna to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Browns ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Burquez told the Brooklyn Bulletin.
At 37-29, the Browns are currently third in the Eastern Conference Max Badaloni Division.
