5-Hit Barrage by Hrinko Tuesday, June 13th , 2079 A jubilant Matty Hrinko joined the postgame press conference at Bison Stadium to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Havana Metropolitanos pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Buffalo Rangers left fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 4-3 Rangers win. "He made it look easy," said Kevin Mayerhofer, manager of the Metropolitanos. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Matty Hrinko singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
