Metropolitanos 3B Hanes belts 2 home runs in Win
|
The first-place Havana Metropolitanos took on the Philadelphia Spectres in front of a spirited crowd.
The Havana Metropolitanos bested the Philadelphia Spectres, 7-0, at Estadio Latinoamericano. Homer Hanes was one of the standouts. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, the Metropolitanos improved to 42-24.
With Havana leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Hanes hit a sinker from Uno Urquidez for a 3-run home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and put the Metropolitanos ahead, 4-0.
Said losing manager Ryan Huff: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
