Red-Hot Stokes Scorches Metropolitanos Tuesday, April 18th , 2079 Today at Sony Field at Philadelphia, Adam Stokes put on an impressive display. The Philadelphia Spectres designated hitter tagged Havana pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Havana Metropolitanos by the score of 7-5. "The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Stokes said. "5-for-6 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, the Spectres manager was unwilling to offer the designated hitter much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses. "Adam told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager Ryan Huff said. Adam Stokes singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
