Juan Casanas never let Philadelphia get something going. The Miami right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Cyclones to a 2-1 win. Earl Starr, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2077 draft, was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Rigoberto Pita. The Cyclones improved to 30-21.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 26-year old right fielder Jason Diaz had a real shot to win the game. Philadelphia pitcher Rigoberto Pita was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Diaz hit a run-scoring single. The Cyclones had a walk-off triumph.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Diaz said.
