Fuentes Fires Shutout in Saints Victory
It wasn't easy but the Saint Paul Saints made it look that way.

Starter Salvador Fuentes shut out the Marfa Lights despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Saint Paul Saints cruised to victory, 2-0. Fuentes allowed only 3 hits and rang up 6 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

So far this season, Fuentes has compiled a 3-5 record with a 3.46 ERA.
