The Toronto Juggernauts managed to get by the Portland (E) Lobster, 3-2, at Molson Park. Toronto pitcher Fisko Loera set himself apart with his performance. Loera yielded 2 runs over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 8-17. The 4th-place Juggernauts improved to 64-85.
Luis Bracero helped out the Toronto cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4.
"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Juggernauts manager Marc Arnold.
