Juggernauts Claim Late Win
|
The Toronto Juggernauts defeated the Brooklyn Browns, 10-8, in 10 innings. Much of the credit belonged to first baseman Steve Dunn, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for the Juggernauts. Toronto reliever Jesus Carbajal picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Kyle Burch was saddled with the loss. With the win, Toronto has a record of 58-72. Brooklyn falls to 70-60.
Toronto used the timely hitting of Caleb Graham to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Juggernauts on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said Dunn.
