Cyclones Curb Juggernauts, 2-1
|
The Miami Cyclones picked up a win at Kroger Stadium, knocking off the Toronto Juggernauts, 2-1. Starting pitcher Jeremy Fitch was a big reason why. Chris Herdegen closed out the game, earning his 9th save. By defeating Toronto, the last-place Cyclones improved to 51-75.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from third baseman Henry McAfee. For the game, McAfee went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Miami a 2-0 lead.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Toronto manager Marc Arnold.
