Athletics Earn 5-0 Home Win
|
The Kansas City Athletics got a marvelous performance from pitcher Alex Aguilar. The right-hander kept the Miami offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-0 Kansas City victory at Ballpark of Missouri. The win puts Kansas City at 14-23.
Wuldenis Arencibia, who is a two-time All-Star, contributed to the Kansas City win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Alex did a heck of a job," said Kansas City manager Joe Monagle.
