Kings Drop Another One, 5-3
|
Molson Park was the site of a competitive game between the Baltimore Kings and Toronto Juggernauts.
Toronto center fielder Tony Fonseca had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Baltimore Kings, 5-3. Ron van den Berk, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. Getting the save was Julio Soto, his 6th.
Fonseca had a timely hit for Toronto in the bottom of the sixth. With Toronto trailing 1-0, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 3-1, Toronto.
"I believe in our guys," said Toronto skipper Marc Arnold. "I like the energy they're playing with."
The third-place Juggernauts have won 5 straight games.
