Red-Hot Titans Win Again
Titans left fielder Zahi Cobo left his imprint on his team's 6-5 win over the Portland (E) Lobster. Cobo was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for New York in the contest. Pavel Orta picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-1 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 4 in 7 innings, while yielding 5 runs. Picking up his 3rd save was 26-year old left-handed pitcher Ray Menk.

New York used a well-timed hit by David Jiron to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Titans ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"This team is on a mission," said Jiron, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."

New York, at 24-8, is off to a blistering start.
