Estadio Latinoamericano was the site for Eastern Conference action featuring the Havana Metropolitanos and Toronto Juggernauts.
The Toronto Juggernauts rode a solid performance from 37-year-old starting pitcher Ferrie Franssen to a win, beating the Havana Metropolitanos, 7-2, at Estadio Latinoamericano. Havana, at 8-20, is off to a poor start in 2078.
Toronto used the hitting of Josh Bystrom to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Juggernauts on top, 7-1. For the game, Bystrom had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Bystrom told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
