Fans at Ballpark of The Blues witnessed the Anchorage Glacier Pilots blank the Newport News Herons, 4-0, on the strength of a superb effort from starter Seiho Yoshioka. The Anchorage left-hander allowed 5 hits in recording the shutout.

"Seiho was good today, but I don't want to focus too much on a single game," Anchorage manager said. "If you're capable of playing at this level, you're capable of having a good game. The real question is if you can learn from that game and repeat it."
