The Portland Dragons cruised to a win over the Santiago Avispas, 12-4, at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. Jairo Cedillo, who is tied for 2nd in the WC in extra base hits with 14, led the way, going 3-for-5 for Portland. Alberto Rosario, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. Portland first baseman Xadreque Esperana contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 14th hit of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 7-2.
