The St. Louis Gaedels had no problem beating the Brooklyn Browns, 12-2, at Brown Town. Lloyd Brocklebank, who is tied for 9th in the EC in home runs with 22, led the onslaught. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for St. Louis. Lanzo Huitron picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 4-5. The third-place Gaedels now have a record of 43-57.

With St. Louis trailing 2-0 in the top of the third, Brocklebank hit a changeup from Slider Brooks for a 3-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Gaedels ahead, 3-2.
