Juggernauts Capture Close Win
|
The Toronto Juggernauts managed to get by the Chicago Phantoms, 3-2, at Molson Park. Toronto pitcher Luis Basurto set himself apart with his performance. Toronto reliever Alex Oaxaca snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Hector Moreno shouldered the loss. Earning his 5th save of the year was Fabian Estrada.
Toronto took a 3-2 lead on Travis Csorba's 9th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Csorba hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chicago pitcher Hector Moreno visibly frustrated.
"I got in a good groove," said Basurto. "I was getting some swings and misses."
The 'W' lifts Toronto's record to 34-51.
