AC Announces Outstanding Player Award Wednesday, September 12th , 2085 The manager of the Plano Elephants said he thinks Tom Wellon is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 23, but it will be hard to top the center fielder's 2085 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Alpha Conference Outstanding Hitter Award. His winning campaign featured a .341 batting average and a .412 on-base percentage this year. In 109 games he piled up 142 hits, 12 doubles, 4 triples, 24 home runs, 91 RBIs and 85 runs scored. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Shigezo Sakamoto of the Plano Elephants finished second in voting, while George Basford of the Plano Elephants finished third.
