Engel Grabs BC Reliever of the Year Award Sunday, September 9th , 2085 Dan Engel said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Gilbert Bulldozers rising star has won the Beta Conference Reliever of the Year Award for 2085. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.30 ERA over 97 innings. He also had 10 saves in 32 relief appearances, 104 strikeouts and only 28 walks. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tetsuhiko Tamaki of the East Lansing Mighty Gulls finished second in voting, while Leris Jova of the Salt Lake Stingers finished third.
