East Lansing Loses Yanio Alcaya, Will Miss Season Saturday, August 3rd , 2086 The East Lansing Mighty Gulls will be minus Yanio Alcaya for about 8 months after the right fielder suffered a broken bone in the elbow while running the bases in a recent game against the Trois-Rivieres Aquanauts. Alcaya and Mighty Gulls skipper had been hoping the post-game examination would show less damage than originally thought. This year, Alcaya is batting .261 with 84 hits, 8 home runs, 40 RBIs, 30 walks, .337 OBP and has scored 52 runs. |
