Costigan Fires Shutout in Hillsboro Victory Tuesday, August 15th , 2084 Pat Costigan subdued the Geneva Greens, 6-0, pitching a 2-hit gem for the Hillsboro Ensigns at Royals Ballpark. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Hillsboro skipper said. Costigan registered 6 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Geneva manager after the defeat.
