Alpha Conference Announces #1 Player Monday, July 31st , 2084 Alpha Conference pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop Angel Celis, but to no avail. His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .593 for the week to win the AC Player of the Week Award. The Baton Rouge second baseman cracked 16 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs, drove in 2 runs and scored 5 times. This season, Celis is swinging the bat at a .347 rate with 131 hits in 377 at-bats. To date he has hit 9 home runs, scored 54 runs and driven in 30. |
