Hit Parade: Gilberds Gets Cycle Sunday, July 16th , 2084 John Gilberds showed off his speed, his power and his plate discipline at Sky Warriors Ballpark, putting together all facets of his game to hit for the cycle in the Fairbanks win. The 22-year-old catcher went 4-for-5, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to help the Goldpanners top the Madison Sky Warriors by a score of 7-6. A jubilant Gilberds told reporters afterward that the experience was "unimaginable." "Seriously, I would have been happy going 1-for-5 with just the double," he said. "So this feels incredible." For the day, Gilberds finished with 1 RBI and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits. John Gilberds hit a solo-shot off Jared Notarianni in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.
