Ramon Abril Injured, Out for Season Friday, July 14th , 2084 When St. Louis starting pitcher Ramon Abril was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Hammers-Sword Swallowers game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Abril had sustained a damaged elbow ligament and will be out for about 14 months. So far this year, Abril has made 19 starts, tossed 121 innings, struck out 82 batters and walked 49. His record is 5-9 with a 4.17 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .262 batting average. |
