Beta Conference Names Hernandez Best Batter Monday, June 26th , 2084 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Corpus Christi shortstop Jerry Hernandez. He went on a rampage last week against BC hurlers and rapped out 13 hits in 25 at-bats for a .520 average while hitting 2 home runs, driving in 7 runs and scoring 2 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the Beta Conference Player of the Week trophy. Hernandez was honored today at a press conference. This year, Hernandez has hit at a .246 clip with 26 RBIs, 7 home runs and 14 runs scored. |
