Gafford's Season Could be Over Saturday, April 27th , 2086 The doctors have spoken and Matt Gafford of the Victoria Seals didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Gafford sustained his season-ending injury during the Trois-Rivieres Aquanauts game yesterday at Trois-Rivières Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Victoria medical staff reported Gafford had a bone spur in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. |
