Orlando's Cintron Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Sunday, April 7th , 2086 Orlando Sword Swallowers first baseman Carlos Cintron had a day to remember at Ballpark of Orlando, ripping apart the Hillsboro Ensigns and sparking the 9-4 Sword Swallowers win. Cintron wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Cintron told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Carlos Cintron hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. View Boxscore |
